As mothers, we are often busy with a day-to-day job, or being a mom, going to school, or anything that can fill our day (leaving plenty of room for us to think about ourselves!). Working full time as a Certified Hospital Physician and Chief Vitamin Officer of VitaCup, I have learned many things that women forget or forget to look all day long that are essential to keeping you happy and healthy as much as possible, both mentally and physically!
In honor of Women's Day in Health and Fitness, I wanted to share some essential tips to keep you all strong, beautiful women at the top of your sport.
TAKE YOUR VITAMINS
Vitamins are an important part of any work that your body does to stay healthy. From digesting and creating healthy hair, skin and nails, making sure you get enough vitamins should be at the top of the list.
Remember, nutritional needs change with a number of factors in life, such as age, health goals, deprivation, and life stages, such as pregnancy or menstruation. In general, always make sure you have enough B vitamins, Vitamin D, and Vitamin C. During pregnancy, make sure you have high levels of folic acid (or Vitamin B9), and after menopause, it is important to get enough calcium and B12.
The best way to get your vitamins is by diet. Preparing foods that contain protein, fiber, healthy fats, and healthy carbs (from veggies) is the best way to get what you want. However, we understand that eating good food, at all times, is not possible. The best ways to ensure that you do not have enough vitamin deficiency is to increase your vitamins. One of the easiest ways to do this is with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. Coffee and Green Tea Tea already has many antioxidants in it (which is great for you), but VitaCup also promotes their combination with a variety of vitamins, nutrients, and high-quality foods! Simple and fun.
BE REALIZED
Hydration is one of the most important things for women (and men) to stay healthy and do well. Every organ, muscle, and skin in your body relies on water to function properly. Maintaining hydrate is essential for your body to exercise, exfoliate toxins and cleanse the body, as well as keep your skin looking healthy, glowing.
Sometimes your body tells you that it needs water in ways you can't fully understand. When you experience dehydration, you may be tired, feel dizzy, have a dry mouth, have nosebleeds, and more. Each morning when you wake up, drink a large glass of water and lemon juice to start your day healthy! That is a great way to accomplish the right thing when you wake up and get inspired to keep up the day.
One of my favorite tricks of staying hydrate is getting a gallon water bottle and writing signs on the edge that says time of day. I also keep the water boat on my table or at all times and I know how much water I would have to waste at what time. It helps me to be responsible, but most of all, I have plenty of water.
Choose Your Favorite Career
The best advice for fitness, though it may seem, is to choose something you LOVE (or possibly have). The American Heart Association supports you to exercise at least 150 minutes a week. Why waste that time doing something you are not afraid of?
I understand that some people just don't like to exercise because they don't enjoy exercise. There is nothing. Try to choose something that fits your taste. If you love to dance, take a Barre class or take a friend to go Salsa Dance! If you love animals, give yourself shelter to take a group of dogs for a walk. If you enjoy breathing and meditation, take a low-cost Yoga class. The truth is that you have an easier time being encouraged to get up and running several times a week (which is very important as we get older!) If you choose something that is fun and timely.
